Baku, May 24, 2024, The Europe Today: A memorable literary evening and art exhibition commemorating the 300th anniversary of the esteemed Turkmen thinker and poet Magtymguly Fragi was held on May 22 in the Fine Arts Gallery of the Children’s Development Center in Baku. This significant event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Children and Youth Development Center No. 1 of the Baku City Education Department.
The evening saw the participation of distinguished guests including the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan, G. Elyasov, and a representative of the Executive Power of the Nasimi district of Baku, E. Huseynov. Also in attendance were representatives from various educational institutions under the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, alongside other esteemed guests.
The event featured a vibrant showcase of children’s creative talents, with performances by various youth groups. These groups presented an array of musical and literary compositions as well as dance numbers, paying tribute to the rich cultural heritage and literary contributions of Magtymguly Fragi.
The celebration underscored the enduring legacy of Magtymguly Fragi, whose works continue to inspire and resonate across generations. The evening not only honored his contributions to Turkmen literature and thought but also strengthened the cultural and educational ties between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
