Ashgabat, August 28, 2024, The Europe Today: Heswar Janke, the first Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius to Turkmenistan, has officially presented copies of his credentials to Myahri Byashimova, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, Deputy Minister Byashimova congratulated Ambassador Janke and affirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to support and assist him in his diplomatic endeavors.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that the discussion between the two parties focused on key areas of bilateral relations, emphasizing their mutual commitment to developing dialogue in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
Both sides proposed the organization of regular political consultations between their foreign ministries to identify priority areas for cooperation and further strengthen ties. The meeting also explored the development of key documents on bilateral partnership and the potential for exchanging expertise in agronomy, water resources management, and tourism.
Ambassador Janke’s appointment marks a significant step in the diplomatic relations between Mauritius and Turkmenistan, as he becomes the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mauritius to Turkmenistan, with his residence based in Moscow.
