Beijing, September 30, 2024 – The Europe Today: A grand concert was held on Sunday night at the Great Hall of the People to commemorate the 75th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The prestigious event drew the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with other senior Party and state leaders, including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, and Han Zheng. Several retired senior officials also attended, with over 3,000 distinguished guests present.
The concert showcased a diverse range of artistic performances, including orchestral music, choral pieces, traditional ensemble performances, and a special piano and band collaboration. The evening concluded with the audience joining in a powerful rendition of “Ode to the Motherland,” symbolizing national unity and pride.
China’s National Day, celebrated annually on October 1, marks the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 and remains a significant occasion for reflection and national celebration.
