Abu Dhabi, November 26, 2024 – The Europe Today: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone call with Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State, to discuss pressing regional issues, including the situations in Gaza and Lebanon.
The two diplomats emphasized the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to achieve a sustainable ceasefire and promote lasting stability and security in the region. They also reviewed international initiatives aimed at enhancing humanitarian responses in Gaza and addressed the ongoing crisis in Sudan and its humanitarian ramifications.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE’s commitment to security and justice by swiftly apprehending those responsible for the murder of Moldovan national Zvi Kogan. He reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to maintaining societal stability and promoting peaceful coexistence among its diverse residents.
The call underscored the shared commitment of the UAE and the US to addressing regional challenges and advancing humanitarian and diplomatic solutions.
