Ashgabat, January 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: The United States Embassy in Turkmenistan plans to organize a series of cultural events in 2025, focusing on fostering peace and trust through cultural dialogue. This announcement was made by US Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood, during an interview, as reported by “News Hub Consultants.”
Ambassador Rood highlighted the significance of cultural initiatives under the “International Year of Peace and Trust,” stating, “This year we will hold a number of events under the concept of the ‘International Year of Peace and Trust.’ Culture, including music, helps build a bridge of trust between different nations. All our initiatives are aimed at supporting dialogue about peace.”
The Ambassador also emphasized the continuation of projects under the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, which has already supported 30 projects in Turkmenistan. A competition for the next project is currently underway, reflecting the ongoing commitment to cultural collaboration.
These efforts underline the Embassy’s dedication to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening ties between nations through cultural exchange.
