Lahore, February 12, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Azerbaijan Trade House has been inaugurated in Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city and the capital of Punjab province, in a move aimed at strengthening trade and cultural ties between the two nations.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by diplomats, notable dignitaries, and business leaders, marked a significant milestone in economic cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, Punjab’s Provincial Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman highlighted the initiative’s role in fostering bilateral trade and economic collaboration. He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to implementing business-friendly policies, promoting trade, and attracting global investment.
“Substantial investments are being made to facilitate industrial growth and improve the ease of doing business across the province,” the minister stated.
He emphasized that the Azerbaijan Trade House would create new investment and business opportunities, enabling traders and entrepreneurs from both countries to expand networks, increase trade volume, and establish long-term economic partnerships.
The Finance Minister also extended an invitation to Azerbaijani investors to explore Punjab’s thriving market, citing vast opportunities in the textiles, agriculture, information technology, and energy sectors.
Expressing confidence in the initiative, he noted that the establishment of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Lahore would serve as a cornerstone of economic cooperation, further solidifying the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. The move is expected to significantly enhance trade and investment relations between the two brotherly nations.
