Ashgabat, April 13, 2025 – The Europe Today: The International Alysh Belt Wrestling Tournament will take place from April 22 to 25 at the Ashgabat Olympic Complex, as announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva during a government meeting on Friday.
The tournament, which is expected to draw athletes from around the world, will serve as both a major sporting event and a platform to promote the values of friendship and peace. According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports has formed a working group to ensure the event’s smooth execution, with representatives from relevant ministries and agencies involved in the preparations. These efforts are being carried out in line with an approved action plan.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has given clear instructions to the deputy prime minister to ensure the tournament is organized to the highest standards, emphasizing the importance of both the event’s logistics and overall success.
The government meeting also covered other important national matters, with key decisions adopted to support the development and growth of the country’s sports sector.
