Moscow, September 17, 2025 — The Europe Today: Turkmenistan and Russia held inter-ministerial consultations on international information security (IIS) in Moscow on September 16, 2025, as part of the Cooperation Program between the foreign ministries of both countries for 2025–2026, signed in June this year.
The consultations addressed a broad range of bilateral and regional cooperation issues in the field of IIS. Both sides underscored the importance of aligning their approaches at specialized international and regional platforms, with particular attention devoted to developments in artificial intelligence.
On the same day, the Turkmen delegation participated in the XIX International Forum “Partnership of the State, Business and Civil Society in Ensuring International Information Security” at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The forum, structured around a plenary session and four thematic sections, brings together leading international experts to exchange views on pressing issues in the field of information security and to share best practices. The event will continue its work until September 18.
