Copenhagen, October 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: On October 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the 7th European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen.
President Macron extended his congratulations to the Azerbaijani head of state on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the progress achieved in advancing the peace agenda.
Expressing his appreciation for the congratulations, President Aliyev highlighted the historic significance of the results attained in Washington, witnessed by the President of the United States, as a crucial step towards promoting lasting regional peace. He noted that joint efforts are actively underway across various areas to further advance the peace process.
The two leaders also discussed the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France and exchanged views on their future development prospects.
