Islamabad, February 28, 2026 – The Europe Today: A meeting was held on 26 February at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation led by Chaudhri Abid Sher Ali, Member of the Senate of Pakistan.
During the discussions, both sides explored prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation, with a focus on increasing bilateral trade turnover and identifying new areas of commercial collaboration. The talks also covered opportunities to enhance cooperation in tourism, culture, education and humanitarian exchanges.
Particular attention was given to the role of parliamentary diplomacy as a key instrument for strengthening bilateral relations and advancing joint initiatives. Participants underscored the importance of sustained engagement between legislative bodies in fostering mutual understanding and facilitating policy coordination.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening and diversifying Turkmen–Pakistani cooperation across a broad spectrum of sectors, reflecting the growing momentum in bilateral relations.
