Ashgabat, May 20, 2026 – The Europe Today: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Myahri Byashimova, held a working meeting on May 20 with representatives of United Nations agencies operating in Turkmenistan, including United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Children’s Fund, and United Nations Population Fund.
During the meeting, the participants discussed current issues related to ongoing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN agencies.
The sides also exchanged views on the possibility of organizing a joint event dedicated to International Children’s Day.
The meeting highlighted Turkmenistan’s comprehensive state policy aimed at supporting and caring for the younger generation, reaffirming the country’s commitment to child welfare and social development initiatives in cooperation with international partners.
