Trump Rejects Claims of Halt in US-Iran Communications, Says Talks Continue Daily

Trump

Washington, June 3, 2026 – The Europe Today: US President Donald Trump has dismissed media reports suggesting that diplomatic communications between the United States and Iran have broken down, insisting that talks between the two countries are continuing without interruption.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump described reports alleging a suspension of contact as “false and erroneous,” asserting that discussions between Washington and Tehran are ongoing on a daily basis.

While acknowledging that the final outcome of the negotiations remains uncertain, the US President reiterated that he has conveyed to Iran the need to conclude an agreement. He stressed that the longstanding status quo between the two countries, which he said has persisted for 47 years, cannot continue indefinitely.

The comments come amid continued international attention on US–Iran relations and efforts to manage longstanding diplomatic tensions between the two sides.
