Dushanbe, July 15, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, accompanied by Chairman of the National Assembly and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, on Tuesday inaugurated the new headquarters of the Ministry of Justice in the Ismoili Somoni district of the capital.
The modern facility was constructed as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen public institutions, improve the quality of state services, and modernize the country’s justice sector ahead of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence.
The newly inaugurated complex consists of two sections and houses offices for the ministry’s leadership and structural departments, a public reception centre, conference and meeting halls, a library, computer and service rooms, as well as video conferencing facilities.
The building provides comprehensive infrastructure to support the efficient operation of the Ministry of Justice, including a 500-seat main conference hall, a 140-seat assembly hall, and seven meeting rooms, each accommodating up to 40 participants.
Additional facilities include a citizens’ reception centre, library, archive, computer training classrooms, printing office, server room, cafeteria, storage areas, fitness room equipped with sports facilities, and dedicated fire safety control rooms.
Constructed on the instructions of President Rahmon, the new ministry headquarters has been equipped with modern technical equipment and advanced digital technologies to create improved working conditions and enhance the delivery of public services.
Officials said the commissioning of the new building marks an important milestone in the development of Tajikistan’s justice infrastructure and will facilitate ongoing institutional reforms, the introduction of modern administrative systems, and the digitalisation of public services.
The building has been constructed using high-quality materials and modern engineering standards, reflecting the government’s commitment to developing state institutions and providing a modern working environment for public servants.
Several subordinate agencies of the Ministry of Justice have also been relocated to the new complex, allowing for greater administrative coordination and operational efficiency.
The inauguration forms part of Tajikistan’s nationwide development programme being implemented under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon to mark the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, with a focus on expanding public infrastructure and strengthening state governance.
