Baku, July 31, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Georgian Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze on Thursday to discuss bilateral cooperation and ways to further strengthen collaboration between the prosecutorial authorities of the two neighboring countries.
During the meeting, the two sides highlighted the steady development of the Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic partnership, underscoring that bilateral relations continue to advance on the basis of mutual trust, good-neighborliness and close cooperation.
The officials welcomed the growing and productive cooperation across various sectors, including between the prosecutorial institutions of Azerbaijan and Georgia, and reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding legal and judicial collaboration.
The discussions also focused on enhancing joint efforts to combat transnational crime, cybercrime and other emerging security challenges. Both sides stressed that continued exchanges of expertise, best practices and information on issues of mutual interest would further strengthen cooperation and improve the effectiveness of law enforcement coordination.
The meeting also reviewed the current state of cooperation between the prosecutorial bodies of the two countries and explored prospects for its further development.
Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, Kamran Aliyev, also attended the meeting.
