Kyiv, August 6, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held high-level talks with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha, in Kyiv, reaffirming the two countries’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation on regional and international issues.
As part of his official visit to the Ukrainian capital, Foreign Minister Bayramov, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sybiha, laid flowers at the Memorial Site honoring the fallen defenders of Ukraine, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the defense of the country.
Following the commemorative ceremony, the two foreign ministers held a one-on-one meeting, which was followed by expanded bilateral talks involving senior officials from both delegations.
During the discussions, the ministers reviewed the current state of Azerbaijan–Ukraine relations and exchanged views on regional and international security issues of mutual interest.
Both sides underscored the importance of further strengthening the existing allied partnership between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, emphasizing that bilateral relations are founded on mutual respect, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and consideration for each other’s national interests.
The ministers also assessed progress in implementing agreements reached during previous high-level engagements and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing cooperation across areas of mutual benefit.
The meeting reflected the continued dialogue between Baku and Kyiv aimed at enhancing political cooperation, deepening bilateral ties, and promoting regional peace, stability, and international collaboration.
