Rabat, August 10, 2026 – The Europe Today: Morocco’s Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy has launched the Urban Planning and Housing Caravan in Tangier as part of a national initiative aimed at bringing housing, urban planning and investment services closer to Moroccans living abroad.
The caravan forms part of the ministry’s national campaign, “Urban Planning and Housing at the Service of Moroccans Around the World,” launched under the instructions of Minister Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri to mobilize the ministry’s various institutions in support of the Moroccan diaspora.
The initiative seeks to implement the royal vision concerning Moroccans residing abroad by addressing their needs, improving the quality of public services available to them and strengthening the proximity of public administration to citizens.
As a mobile agency, the caravan is scheduled to travel to several Moroccan cities, including Oujda, Meknes, Errachidia, Beni Mellal, Marrakech, Agadir, Laayoune, Casablanca and Rabat.
The fully equipped caravan will provide reception, information, guidance and support services, with particular emphasis on Moroccans living abroad who are visiting the country or seeking to invest in Morocco.
Visitors will be able to meet representatives of the ministry, urban planning agencies and the Al Omrane Group. The caravan will also provide information on real estate projects, investment opportunities and public housing programs, including the direct housing assistance initiative “Daam Sakane.”
The caravan complements a broader package of measures introduced by the ministry under its proximity strategy as part of the national campaign targeting Moroccans living abroad.
These measures include reception and support points at ports, airports and high-speed train stations, as well as open days organized by urban agencies and Al Omrane Group companies. An on-call service operating beyond regular administrative hours has also been established to facilitate access to services.
The ministry has further expanded information and guidance services through its various institutions to help Moroccan citizens living abroad navigate procedures related to urban planning, housing and investment.
The initiative reflects Morocco’s continued efforts to strengthen engagement with its diaspora, facilitate their investments and ensure more accessible and responsive public services.
