Islamabad, August 11, 2026 – The Europe Today: A special cultural presentation celebrating the rich heritage of Azerbaijan is set to feature prominently in Culture Colors Season 5, as Pakistan seeks to promote international cultural understanding, artistic exchange and stronger people-to-people relations with Azerbaijan.
The initiative is being led by Syed Usman Tahir, Advisor to the Federal Minister for Culture and CEO of Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Design, as part of the institute’s continuing efforts to use fashion, art and creativity as platforms for cultural diplomacy.
A key attraction of the Azerbaijan-focused presentation will be a specially designed fashion ensemble inspired by Azerbaijan’s national bird, translating elements of the country’s cultural symbolism and visual identity into contemporary fashion. The ensemble will combine artistic interpretation with traditional Azerbaijani aesthetics, offering audiences a distinctive representation of the country through the language of fashion.
The presentation will also showcase Azerbaijani traditional crafts and artistic heritage, highlighting the country’s rich craftsmanship, cultural traditions and distinctive artistic identity. The initiative aims to introduce audiences to Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage in a respectful, positive and creative manner.
Under the leadership of Syed Usman Tahir, the Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Design has continued to promote cultural themes through fashion shows, exhibitions, educational programmes, international collaborations and other creative initiatives designed to bring communities and cultures closer together.
Culture Colors Season 5 builds on this vision by providing international cultures with a platform to be understood and celebrated through contemporary artistic expression. The Azerbaijan presentation is intended to go beyond a conventional fashion showcase by serving as a symbol of friendship, cultural connection and mutual respect between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
By bringing Azerbaijani culture to audiences through fashion and traditional crafts, the initiative seeks to encourage greater appreciation of the country’s heritage while contributing to broader cultural dialogue and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
