Islamabad, August 14, 2026 — The Europe Today: The Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan extended warm greetings to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s 79th Independence Day, joining the nation in celebrating the auspicious day with enthusiasm and festive spirit.
In a message marking the occasion, the embassy conveyed its greetings to Pakistan and wished the people a happy Independence Day.
To mark the celebrations, Danish Ambassador Maja Derrous Mortensen visited the lively streets of Rawalpindi to witness the vibrant decorations arranged for Jashn-e-Azaadi and experience the festive atmosphere surrounding the national occasion.
The embassy also organised a series of engaging and light-hearted challenges involving Danish and Pakistani members of its team, highlighting the spirit of friendship and camaraderie between the two countries.
The celebrations reflected the warm people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Denmark and the embassy’s participation in the festivities marking Pakistan’s Independence Day.
