Rabat, October 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has welcomed senior judicial delegations from 24 countries to its new administrative headquarters in Rabat, showcasing the country’s modern security infrastructure and the role of its police services in supporting the justice system.
The visit, held on Thursday, October 15, brought together presidents of courts of cassation, prosecutors general and members of senior judicial bodies from Africa, Europe and the Middle East. It took place on the sidelines of an international congress organised by Morocco’s Court of Cassation in partnership with the Association of High Courts of Cassation Sharing the Use of French (AHJUCAF), under the theme “Justice and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Risks.”
During the visit, the delegations toured the National Security Museum, which presents the history and institutional development of Morocco’s security services, before inspecting the operational facilities at the new headquarters.
The tour included command and national video-surveillance rooms responsible for monitoring security in major Moroccan cities, crisis-management facilities and the centre tasked with protecting DGSN installations. The visitors also viewed data-management centres equipped with advanced information technology systems.
The programme further included a visit to the complex’s integrated facilities, including a sports centre and a mosque, highlighting the comprehensive design of the administrative site.
The DGSN said the initiative formed part of its efforts to strengthen engagement with national and international partners, present the responsibilities of the Moroccan police and demonstrate the modernisation of its security infrastructure.
The new headquarters, inaugurated in May 2026 in Rabat’s Riyad district, coincided with the 70th anniversary of the DGSN and the seventh edition of the National Security Open Days. The complex brings together administrative, operational and technological facilities designed to support security management and public safety.
The visit also provided an opportunity for senior judicial officials to gain insight into the technological capabilities and operational arrangements supporting Morocco’s national security services and their contribution to the criminal justice system.
