Beijing, October 1, 2024 – The Europe Today: President Xi Jinping emphasized China’s commitment to achieving greater accomplishments and contributing to global peace and development, as he addressed a reception at the Great Hall of the People in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
In his speech, Xi highlighted the central task of building a strong China through national rejuvenation and Chinese modernization, while underscoring the importance of the Communist Party of China’s leadership and the principles of peaceful development. He also reiterated China’s commitment to the “One Country, Two Systems” policy for Hong Kong and Macao, and called for deepened cooperation across the Taiwan Strait.
