Riyadh, January 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: Japan’s Economy, Trade, and Industry Minister Yoji Muto met with Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on Tuesday to discuss enhanced cooperation between the two nations in the energy sector.
During their meeting, the officials reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of joint efforts in advancing energy transitions. The ministers specifically highlighted the progress made under the Manar Initiative, a key Saudi-Japan collaboration aimed at promoting clean energy.
The Manar Initiative was launched following former Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s visit to Saudi Arabia in 2023, and has since been instrumental in fostering sustainable energy solutions between the two countries.
Both ministers expressed their commitment to further strengthening their cooperation in energy technologies and innovations, underlining their shared goals for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
