Avaza, June 4, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended heartfelt congratulations to the participants of the International Dance and Folklore Festival “Avaza – Land of Friendship”, held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza,” according to the State News Agency TDH.
In his congratulatory message, the Head of State warmly welcomed the festival’s grand opening, expressing confidence that the event would strengthen cultural bridges between Turkmenistan and other nations while showcasing the artistic achievements of friendly countries in the realm of dance and folklore.
“I sincerely congratulate you on the grand opening of the International Dance and Folklore Festival ‘Avaza – Land of Friendship’, held in the National Tourist Zone ‘Avaza’. I am confident that this festival will serve to strengthen the cultural bridges between Turkmenistan and the countries of the world, familiarize with the achievements of friendly nations in the field of dance and folklore art,” the message stated.
The President highlighted that the festival takes place in the International Year of Peace and Trust, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. He noted that Turkmenistan regularly hosts international festivals and cultural events that reflect the country’s commitment to diplomacy through culture, and its contributions to global peace, mutual trust, and solidarity.
Emphasizing the value of Turkmen culture, President Berdimuhamedov stated, “The rich cultural heritage and national values of the Turkmen people occupy a worthy place in the treasury of world civilization. We are proud of the art and traditions created by our glorious ancestors over the millennia.”
The President also expressed his belief that the festival will encourage the exchange of cultural experiences, contribute to the promotion of spiritual values worldwide, and help strengthen creative collaboration among artists and performers from diverse backgrounds.
“Dance and folklore art plays a special role in strengthening peace, friendship and brotherhood, bringing kindness to human hearts, uniting people,” the message concluded.
