Mina, June 7, 2025 — The Europe Today: On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received Eid Al-Adha well-wishers on Friday at the Royal Court of Mina Palace.
Among those in attendance were Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, senior Saudi princes, religious scholars, ministers, officials from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, and high-ranking military and Hajj personnel.
In his address, the Crown Prince extended Eid greetings to the guests, as well as to Saudi citizens, expatriates, and pilgrims, conveying the warm wishes of King Salman.
“We implore God Almighty to return this blessed occasion to our nation and to Muslims around the world with continued goodness, prosperity, and peace,” he said.
He praised the efforts of the Saudi government in ensuring the comfort and security of pilgrims, emphasizing that the Kingdom would continue to fulfill its sacred responsibility of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors with dedication.
“We commend the continuous efforts made by you, those working across various government sectors, and the male and female volunteers in implementing the state’s policies to enable pilgrims to complete their rituals in security and tranquility,” he added.
In a separate address, Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, highlighted the extensive human, financial, and technical resources mobilized to ensure the safe conduct of Hajj rituals.
Al-Bassami revealed that 213,323 personnel from the security and military sectors are deployed to safeguard the pilgrims, empowered by advanced technologies, field expertise, and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy led by the Crown Prince.
He praised the Supreme Hajj Committee, chaired by the Minister of Interior, for its supervisory role, and emphasized the coordination among all entities, supported by a cutting-edge operations center that uses real-time data and surveillance systems to guide decision-making and ensure the safety of pilgrims.
Both leaders reaffirmed that the successes of Hajj operations are a direct result of the unwavering support and strategic guidance of King Salman and the Crown Prince, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s deep commitment to serving Islam’s holiest sites and facilitating a safe, peaceful pilgrimage for all.
