Islamabad, August 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: A high-level meeting was held on Monday at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation of Pakistani businessmen led by Mir Naveed Baloch, former Minister of Health of Balochistan and current Group Leader of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting commenced with a presentation by the Turkmen side highlighting the country’s foreign policy strategy of Neutrality, the outcomes of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, and the strategic significance of the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP power transmission line projects for ensuring sustainable energy supply to Pakistan.
Both sides engaged in detailed discussions on prospects for trade, economic, and logistical cooperation along the North-South and East-West corridors, including potential collaboration between the ports of Turkmenbashi and Gwadar. The Pakistani delegation expressed keen interest in broadening the partnership, particularly in the areas of energy, transport, and logistics, and emphasized leveraging the strategic potential of Gwadar Port.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to strengthen contacts between business communities and facilitate the exchange of business delegations, paving the way for enhanced bilateral economic cooperation.
