Turkmenistan, Germany Explore Expansion of Business Cooperation

Ashgabat, September 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan and Germany have discussed prospects for expanding direct contacts between their business communities and chambers of commerce during a meeting between Turkmen Consul in Germany Murad Ozbekbayev and officials of the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, state media reported on Wednesday.

The talks were attended by Petra Dick-Walter, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture, along with representatives of the Rheinhessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The two sides identified priority areas for cooperation, including energy, the chemical industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, and high-tech production.

The meeting also addressed plans to organize business visits and joint events between Turkmen and German companies aimed at fostering direct commercial partnerships.

It was noted that from September 22 to October 9, 2025, Turkmen entrepreneurs will participate in the “Business Partnership with Germany” program, joining colleagues from Kazakhstan.
