Hanoi, September 28, 2025 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính chaired a working session on Saturday with the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence to review progress in the defence industry.
The meeting was attended by Minister of National Defence General Phan Văn Giang, Acting Foreign Minister Lê Hoài Trung, Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn, and other senior officials. Reports were presented by the Ministry of National Defence and the General Department of Defence Industry, outlining the sector’s achievements during the first nine months of the year.
Prime Minister Chính commended the results attained, highlighting the importance of continued innovation and modernization. He called for stronger research efforts and wider application of science and technology to accelerate the development of Việt Nam’s defence industry.
He underscored that advancing the sector is vital not only to national defence but also to the broader cause of nation-building and safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
