Pakistan Jujitsu Team Clinches Historic 22 Medals at South Asian Championship 2026

Dagana, April 12, 2026 – The Europe Today: Pakistan’s Jujitsu team delivered a historic performance at the South Asian Championship 2026, securing an impressive total of 22 medals, including 12 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze, in Dagana, Sri Lanka.

According to official reports, the national contingent showcased exceptional dominance throughout the championship, with several Pakistani athletes competing against one another in final bouts, reflecting the team’s depth and competitive strength.

Young talents including Zunaira Zulfiqar Ali, Sundas Ali, Rashal Khan, Muhammad Abdullah Ali, and Ibad ur Rehman stood out with remarkable performances in the Under-16 and Under-18 categories.

In the adult Duo categories, notable achievements included gold medals by M Ali Rashid and M Yousaf Ali in Duo Men Classic, while M Ali Rashid paired with Isra Wasim to claim gold in Duo Mixed. Kainat Arif and Isra Wasim secured silver in Duo Women Show, while other categories also witnessed multiple podium finishes for Pakistani athletes.

Additional standout performances included gold medals by Kainat Arif, M Yousaf Ali, Omar Yasin, and several youth duo teams, further strengthening Pakistan’s medal tally.

Reacting to the achievement, Khalil Ahmed Khan, founder and president of the Pakistan Jujitsu Federation, along with Secretary General Tariq Ali, expressed immense pride in the team’s performance. They stated that the players’ dedication, hard work, and determination enabled them to raise Pakistan’s flag high at the international level.

They further announced that the national team would receive a grand reception upon their return, with players to be rewarded for their outstanding achievements.
