New York, May 28, 2026 – The Europe Today: Deputy PM Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council Open Debate in New York, where the two leaders discussed regional developments and ways to further enhance bilateral relations.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between Pakistan and Cuba and explored new avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude for Cuba’s support and assistance to Pakistan during the devastating 2005 earthquake, acknowledging the solidarity shown by the Cuban people and government at a difficult time.
In response, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla appreciated Pakistan’s support and assistance extended to Cuba during natural disasters faced by his country.
The two leaders reiterated their shared resolve to further deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in areas beneficial to the peoples of both nations.
