Trump Announces Completion of Agreement with Iran

Washington, June 15, 2026 – The Europe Today: US President Donald Trump announced that an agreement with Iran has been fully completed, paving the way for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the immediate removal of the United States naval blockade.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, President Trump declared, “The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all.”

He further stated that he had authorized the toll-free reopening of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route through which a significant portion of the world’s oil supplies passes.

“I hereby fully authorize the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade,” Trump wrote.

The announcement signals a major development in relations between Washington and Tehran and is expected to have significant implications for regional stability, international trade and global energy markets.

Further details regarding the terms and implementation of the agreement have not yet been officially disclosed.
