Baku, October 2, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan, with its rich energy resources, has become a significant geopolitical and security factor, President Ilham Aliyev said.
Addressing the 8th Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), President Aliyev emphasized the importance of energy security to national security.
“Because energy security means the national security of every country, and our role will grow even further,” the President said.
He noted that Azerbaijan’s energy resources and its role in ensuring energy security have contributed to its growing significance in regional and international affairs.
