Baku, September 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev has shared a message on his official social media accounts to mark September 27 — the Day of Remembrance.
The solemn day is observed annually in Azerbaijan to honour the memory of the country’s servicemen who laid down their lives during the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020, which led to the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
Through his post, President Aliyev paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Azerbaijani martyrs, underscoring their historic role in securing sovereignty and independence for the nation.
