Budapest, July 11, 2024, The Europe Today: Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov met with Jolt Bunford, Deputy Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary on national security issues, to discuss the enhancement of mutual cooperation, according to Uzbek media reports.
During the negotiations, both parties explored various avenues for strengthening their strategic partnership relations. Jolt Bunford expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of these ties and reiterated Hungary’s commitment to fostering communication at multiple levels.
Bunford emphasized Hungary’s readiness to assist in strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union during Hungary’s presidency of the European Council. This support underscores Hungary’s dedication to deepening its partnership with Uzbekistan within the broader EU framework.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to maintain a constructive dialogue between the relevant bodies of Uzbekistan and Hungary to address the issues on the agenda of their bilateral relations.
