Pakistan, Cuba Discuss Expanding Cultural Cooperation and Bilateral Exchanges

Islamabad, Jul 17, 2026 – The Europe Today: Syed Usman Tahir, Advisor to the Federal Minister for the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, held a productive meeting with H.E. Damián Cordero Torres, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Pakistan, to discuss ways to further strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities to enhance Pakistan–Cuba relations through collaboration in the fields of arts, heritage preservation, cultural exchange, creative industries, and people-to-people engagement.

The discussions focused on promoting mutual understanding by launching joint cultural initiatives, including exhibitions, educational exchange programs, artistic collaborations, and other activities aimed at deepening cultural ties between the two nations.

The two officials reaffirmed their commitment to fostering closer bilateral relations through culture, friendship, and international cooperation, recognizing the important role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening ties between Pakistan and Cuba.

The meeting underscored the shared resolve of both countries to expand collaboration in the cultural sector and promote greater interaction between their peoples through sustained cultural and educational partnerships.
