Xi’an, September 22, 2024 — The Europe Today: The Kyrgyz-Chinese Trade and Economic Cooperation Center has officially opened in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, as announced by the Cabinet of Ministers. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobaev, Shaanxi Province Governor Zhao Gang, and various government officials.
Spanning an area of 1,000 square meters, the center is designed to showcase products made in Kyrgyzstan, facilitate B2B meetings, and provide essential information for trade partnerships. Additionally, a national pavilion for Kyrgyzstan, covering 200 square meters, has been established in Xi’an, enabling the sale of domestic products through popular platforms such as Douyin, WeChat, and Pinduoduo.
A business forum featuring leading companies from Kyrgyzstan and Shaanxi Province was also conducted, attracting representatives from over 200 companies from both nations. During the forum, Deputy Chairman Torobaev met with the management of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., which operates in Kyrgyzstan.
The event culminated in the signing of several investment agreements between government agencies and companies from Kyrgyzstan and China, further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
