China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company Officially Launched in Bishkek

Bishkek, September 29, 2024 – The Europe Today: Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, participated in the official opening of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company in Bishkek, marking a significant step in regional infrastructure and economic cooperation, as reported by the Cabinet’s press service.

“We place great importance on this project, as it will elevate economic collaboration between China and Central Asian nations to a new level,” Japarov remarked during the opening ceremony.

The Chairman emphasized that the project would strengthen trade and economic ties across the region, particularly among Kyrgyzstan, China, and Uzbekistan. He expressed confidence in the project’s timely and high-quality execution.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent officials, including the Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Du Dewen, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment, Zhang Jianhua, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilkhom Mahkamov, and Zhou Xing, General Director of China Railway International, among others.
