Beijing, November 11, 2024 — The Europe Today: The Central Party Literature Press has released a new compilation of excerpts from Chinese President Xi Jinping’s discussions on the management and protection of natural resources. The publication includes 286 selected passages from over 150 speeches and written works by Xi, spanning from December 2012 to October 2024. Many of these insights are being published for the first time.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, the CPC Central Committee, led by Xi, has emphasized the strategic importance of natural resources. Under Xi’s leadership, efforts have focused on enhancing the sustainable management of natural assets, optimizing territorial planning, and promoting the integrated conservation of critical landscapes—mountains, rivers, forests, farmland, lakes, grasslands, and deserts.
The compilation, organized across eight thematic sections, provides significant guidance for advancing China’s systems of property rights and natural resource management. It supports the country’s aim for high-quality development coupled with robust environmental protection, reinforcing the vision of a harmonious balance between humanity and nature as a pillar of Chinese modernization.
