Azerbaijan and Luxembourg Explore Opportunities to Deepen Economic and Trade Cooperation

Baku, January 28, 2025 – The Europe Today: Elnur Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Economy, held a meeting with a delegation led by Véronique Dockendorf, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Aliyev highlighted the vast potential for strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, particularly in key sectors such as economy, trade, transit, tourism, information technologies, and green energy. He also underscored the opportunities for expanding the legal framework governing bilateral relations and encouraged Luxembourg’s participation in the reconstruction projects underway in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

Both sides discussed joint investment prospects and emphasized the value of participating in business events and exhibitions in each country to further foster collaboration.

Véronique Dockendorf reiterated Luxembourg’s commitment to advancing relations with Azerbaijan, pointing to new avenues for cooperation and the potential to implement joint initiatives in emerging fields.

The meeting also reviewed the current state of economic relations between the two nations, identifying actionable steps to strengthen ties and unlock new opportunities for development.

This dialogue underscores the mutual interest in deepening economic, trade, and strategic partnerships between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, paving the way for closer collaboration in the years to come.
