Baku, January 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended his condolences to President of the United States Donald Trump following a tragic aviation incident near Washington.
In his letter of condolence, President Aliyev expressed profound sorrow over the collision between a passenger plane and an army helicopter, which resulted in significant loss of life.
“We were deeply saddened by the news of the collision between a passenger plane and an army helicopter near Washington, resulting in the loss of many lives. In light of this tragedy, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the victims, and to the friendly people of the United States, on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan,” President Aliyev stated.
The Azerbaijani head of state reaffirmed his nation’s solidarity with the United States during this difficult time, offering support and sympathy to those affected by the incident.
