President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Receives Official Welcome in Paris

Paris, March 12, 2025 – The Europe Today: An official welcome ceremony for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, took place today at the historic Hôtel des Invalides in Paris, marking the commencement of his state visit to the French Republic.

President of France Emmanuel Macron personally welcomed the Uzbek leader at the ceremonial venue, underscoring the significance of bilateral ties between the two nations.

In honor of the distinguished guest, a guard of honor was assembled on the square, comprising service members from the Republican Guard, as well as units of the French Army, Navy, and Air Force. The solemn event reflected the deepening diplomatic relations and mutual respect between Uzbekistan and France.

Following the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev, accompanied by a mounted guard and motorcycle officers, proceeded to the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the President of France. There, high-level bilateral talks are set to take place, focusing on strengthening cooperation across key sectors and expanding strategic partnerships.

This state visit is expected to further enhance economic, political, and cultural collaboration between Uzbekistan and France, paving the way for new agreements and joint initiatives.
