Lahore, May 4, 2025 – The Europe Today: A high level Chinese delegation comprising top representatives from major Chinese industrial and commercial organizations visited the Punjab Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) at Sunder Industrial Estate near Lahore, marking a significant development in efforts to relocate Chinese industries to Pakistan.
The delegation included senior officials from the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Equipment Industry, the New Energy Operations Committee of the China Electricity Equipment Management Association, and the China Jinhua (Yiwu) Wenzhou General Chamber of Commerce. Among the participants was Beijing Xiaotunpai Technology Co., Ltd., a firm renowned for its advanced research and manufacturing of infrared thermal imaging systems for the healthcare sector.
The visit was facilitated by Mr. David Chu, CEO, and Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Director (Eurasian Region) of Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited, China. The delegation was warmly received by PIEDMC’s management under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Javed Iqbal, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the various industrial estates operated by the organization across Punjab.
Discussions centered on the strategic reallocation of Chinese assembly units to Pakistan, the establishment of new production lines, and the Transfer of Technology (ToT) aimed at boosting local industrial capabilities.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PIEDMC and Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited. The MoU outlines plans to develop a one-window solution to facilitate seamless B2B cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises.
This landmark engagement is expected to pave the way for increased industrial collaboration, technology sharing, and economic integration between the two countries, aligning with the broader vision of enhancing bilateral ties under initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
