Islamabad, May 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Deputy Head of Mission of Malaysia, paid an official visit to COMSATS University Islamabad, aiming to strengthen academic and diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Pakistan.
Mr. Syafik was warmly welcomed by Dr. Hammad Omer, Head of the International Office, Mr. Arif Awan, Senior Program Officer, and members of the university faculty and staff. The visit was marked by a productive exchange of ideas focused on educational cooperation and mutual development.
During the visit, Mr. Syafik delivered an engaging lecture on Malaysia-Pakistan bilateral relations, outlining the deep-rooted friendship and highlighting areas of ongoing collaboration. He emphasized the shared potential in education, research, and cultural exchange, capturing the interest of students and faculty from the departments of International Relations, Economics, and Management Sciences.
Later, Mr. Syafik held a meeting with Professor Dr. Sohail Asghar, Incharge Campus, to discuss opportunities for future collaboration. Discussions centered on faculty and student exchange programs, joint research projects, and strategic academic partnerships between Malaysian institutions and COMSATS University.
The visit reflects a mutual commitment to advancing regional cooperation in higher education. Both the High Commission of Malaysia and COMSATS University expressed optimism about deepening their engagement in the near future.
