Islamabad, May 20, 2026 – The Europe Today: Hunza-based Pakistani mountaineer Soheil Sakhi has successfully summited the world’s third-highest mountain, Kangchenjunga.
According to details, Sakhi reached the summit of the 8,586-meter-high peak located in Nepal, achieving this milestone at around 12:15 a.m. Nepal time. He was also part of the rope-fixing team ahead of the official climbing push, playing a crucial role in preparing the route for other climbers.
Soheil Sakhi is an experienced high-altitude climber and has previously summited several of the world’s most challenging peaks, including K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II.
His latest achievement adds another significant success to Pakistan’s growing presence in global mountaineering.
