Pakistan Hockey Team Management Reshuffled Ahead of Pro Hockey League

Islamabad, June 7, 2026 – The Europe Today: The management of the national hockey team has once again undergone changes ahead of the upcoming Pro Hockey League, according to sources.

As per details, goalkeeping coach Mazhar Abbas will not accompany the national side for the Pro Hockey League tour. Meanwhile, former captain Wasim Ahmed is likely to join the team in a coaching role and may link up with the squad in Belgium, where he is currently based in Australia.

The Pakistan hockey squad will consist of 20 players and five officials, with all travel arrangements reportedly finalized.

Sources further indicate that Manzoor-ul-Hassan will serve as head coach, while Wasim Ahmed is expected to take on coaching responsibilities. Khawaja Junaid will act as team manager.

In addition, Sultan Ashraf will be part of the management as the video analyst, and Fahad Javed will serve as the team physiotherapist.

The national side is scheduled to hold its final training session today in Lahore before departing for the tour.
