Islamabad, June 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ambassador of Ethiopia to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Oumer H. Oba, held a meeting with Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, H.E. Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Islamabad on Monday, where the two diplomats discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current state of relations between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Tajikistan and identified several priority areas for future collaboration. These included business, tourism, culture, energy, education, and connectivity.
The two ambassadors also discussed the initiation of bilateral political consultations aimed at establishing a formal framework for strengthening cooperation and promoting regular dialogue between the two countries.
Reaffirming their shared commitment to deepening ties, Ambassador Dr. Oumer H. Oba and Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir underscored the importance of closer engagement and enhanced collaboration to further advance bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Tajikistan.
The meeting reflected the mutual desire of both nations to explore new opportunities for partnership and foster stronger diplomatic, economic, and cultural links.
