Moscow, October 12, 2026 – The Europe Today: Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed the need to ensure that businesses in Russia feel secure and confident, emphasizing the state’s role in safeguarding their interests amid ongoing economic and other challenges.

Putin made these remarks during a meeting with Alexey Repik, Chairman of Delovaya Rossiya, an all-Russian public organization representing the business community.

During the meeting, the Russian president sought Repik’s views on measures the government could take to help businesses navigate the current challenges and strengthen their confidence in operating within the country.

Putin said it was important for businesses to know that the state was protecting their interests, just as the business community was increasing its support for Russia in addressing the challenges facing the country.

The president also highlighted the investment climate as a continuing area of concern requiring close attention from both the government and the business community.

He noted that issues affecting the investment environment were constantly evolving due to changing circumstances and could not be considered permanently resolved.

Putin added that the current situation presented its own distinct challenges, underscoring the need for continued engagement between the state and businesses to address emerging concerns and maintain a conducive environment for economic activity.
