Budapest, July 14, 2024, The Europe Today: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Oybek Shakhavdinov, recently held discussions with Major General Christian Erdely, the Deputy Director General of the Hungarian National Disaster Management Authority, as reported by Uzbek media.
The talks focused on the potential for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary in combating natural disasters. During the dialogue, both parties expressed a keen interest in establishing a collaborative framework to enhance their capabilities in managing emergency situations and mitigating the effects of natural disasters.
Major General Erdely conveyed Hungary’s eagerness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in this critical field. The discussions led to a significant agreement with the Uzbek Ministry of Emergencies, outlining plans for the exchange of expertise, the organization of mutual visits, and the signing of a formal cooperation agreement to facilitate specific joint initiatives.
