Ashgabat, December 28, 2024 – The Europe Today: Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has announced the completion of his new book titled Magtymguly – dünýäniň akyldary (Magtymguly – The Sage of the World), during an extended government meeting, according to the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH).
The book delves into the literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, one of Turkmenistan’s most revered poets, and underscores his immense contribution to world culture. It also highlights the events commemorating the 300th anniversary of his birth, a milestone that was celebrated throughout Turkmenistan in 2024.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the book also reflects Turkmenistan’s progress and accomplishments, making it a fitting tribute to the country’s cultural and historical achievements.
The year 2024 in Turkmenistan has been dedicated to celebrating the intellectual legacy of Magtymguly Fragi under the motto “The Treasure of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” a theme that resonates deeply with the nation’s pride in its rich cultural history. The completion of this book marks a significant contribution to the global appreciation of Turkmen literature and heritage.
