Istanbul, October 26, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that no political or security framework—whether in Syria, Palestine’s Gaza, the Gulf region, or the Russia-Ukraine conflict—can be shaped without Türkiye’s active involvement. He made the remarks during the closing session of the “Century of Türkiye Meetings” held at the Istanbul Congress Centre on Saturday.
Erdogan stated that Türkiye has emerged as “a respected voice both in its region and globally, a country that exports peace and stability,” asserting the country’s rising diplomatic and strategic influence.
Reflecting on the shifting global order, Erdogan said the post-World War II system is undergoing “fundamental disruption,” with conflicts and wars impacting regions worldwide, particularly Türkiye’s neighbourhood. He highlighted increasing competition in trade, technology, and energy, describing this era as one where the struggle for political and military dominance has intensified.
“Amid these waves of instability, we have managed to keep Türkiye safe from all these dangers through measures implemented both at home and across our borders,” he said, emphasizing that Türkiye’s strength is now recognized “both on the field and at the table.”
Erdogan outlined Ankara’s vision for a future characterized by peace and prosperity, saying: “Our goal is to ensure that no generation is wasted, no mother sheds tears, and that peace, security, and prosperity prevail across our entire geography.”
He reiterated Türkiye’s long-term objective of safeguarding national unity while fostering stability in the wider region.
“With a shared determination, we will first build a terror-free Türkiye, then a terror-free region as our lasting legacy for future generations,” he declared.
Erdogan reaffirmed that Türkiye will continue to pursue policies rooted in stability, cooperation, and peace within its neighborhood and beyond, positioning itself as an indispensable actor in regional and international affairs.
