Kyiv, November 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine sustained extensive structural damage in the early hours of November 14 following a large-scale combined airstrike launched by the Russian armed forces on Kyiv.
According to initial assessments, one of the missiles struck the embassy compound directly, causing a large crack in the premises. The walls of the embassy building were heavily damaged, with a portion blown off due to the impact. Windows throughout the facility were shattered, and several vehicles belonging to embassy staff were also damaged.
Ukrainian authorities arrived promptly at the scene to evaluate the destruction and begin necessary investigative procedures.
This is not the first time the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission in Kyiv has suffered damage amid attacks on the Ukrainian capital. However, officials noted that the severity and scale of destruction in the latest incident were significantly greater than previous occurrences.
Despite the heavy damage, no Azerbaijani diplomatic personnel were injured.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that at least four civilians lost their lives and approximately 30 others were wounded in the broader attack involving ballistic missiles and drones. A child was among those injured.
Ukrainian defense officials stated that nearly 20 ballistic and cruise missiles were deployed, along with more than 400 attack drones, making the strike one of the most intense assaults on Kyiv in recent months.
The incident underscores the escalating threat to diplomatic missions in conflict-affected regions and the growing risks posed by continued strikes on Ukraine’s major urban centers.
