Relocated Families Receive New Homes in Khankendi and Aghdara District

Khankendi, June 20, 2026 – The Europe Today: A total of 18 families, comprising 68 individuals, have been relocated to the city of Khankendi, while two families, consisting of 12 people, have been resettled in the Ashaghi Oratagh village of the Aghdara district, where they received the keys to their new homes, officials said.

A formal key handover ceremony was held to mark the occasion, attended by Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, as well as the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, along with other government officials.

The relocation and housing allocation are part of ongoing efforts to support the return of families to their places of origin and to facilitate resettlement in areas undergoing reconstruction and redevelopment.

Officials noted that the initiative reflects continued state support for restoring normal life in the region and providing improved living conditions for returning residents.
